Reprezentarea scenicã a Cãlusului
Plecând de la o observarea existentei paralele a Cãlusului, ca rit si ca spectacol, studiul trece în revistã câteva dintre efectele si semnificatiile actuale ale acestui vechi obicei, demonstrând cã poate fi un rit de protejare a semãnãturilor, o sursã de generare a legendelor, o formã de afirmare a asimilãrii valorilor majoritãtii (când este practicat de o minoritate) si o expresie culturalã emblematicã a specificului românesc. Prin decuparea a trei faze ale transpunerii scenice a Cãlusului (decontextualizarea componentei muzical-coregrafice, reinserarea unor sugestii rituale în spectacolul stilizat si aducerea pe scenã a componentei comic-grotesti), studiul pledeazã pentru implicarea specialistilor în manifestarea artisticã a obiceiului, pentru a conserva complexitatea scenariilor rituale si a repertoriilor folclorice ale variantelor Cãlusului. By noticing that the Cãlus has evolved in parallel as a ritual and as an artistic event, the authors review some of the present effects and significances of this ancient Romanian custom, as a rite for protecting the crops, a source of folk legends, a form of asserting that a minority has embraced the cultural values of the majority and a cultural emblem of the specific nature of Romanians. Three moments in the staging of the Cãlus (the de-contextualization of the musical-choreographic component; the re-inserting of ritual suggestions into the stylized show and the bringing on to the stage of the comical-grotesque component) are chosen to demonstrate that experts in Romanian folk culture should seriously involve themselves in the act of turning the custom into an artistic event, in order to preserve the complexity of the Cãlus in point of ritual schemes and folk repertories. |
