Locul privirii. Însemnãri despre fotografia etnologicã
O scurtã istorie a imaginii etnologice românesti aduce în prim plan numele lui Iosif Berman, vestitul fotograf din perioada interbelicã, urmat, dupã 1949, de alti experti ai Institutului de Etnografie si Folclor al Academiei Române: Bob Eremia, Constantin Popescu, Marin Ivanciu, Emanuil Pârvu. Prin strãduinta acestor artisti ai aparatului de fotografiat, arhiva Institutului s-a îmbogãtit cu numeroase imagini fixate pe diferite tipuri de suport, de la vechile diapozitive pe sticlã pânã la discurile digitale ale zilelor noastre. Autoarea comenteazã valoarea de document stiintific a fotografiei etnologice, luând în considerare relatia dintre cercetãtor si informator, medierea tehnicã a informatiei obtinute prin imagine si conceptele teoretice de privire si loc al privirii. The Point of Regard. Notes on the Ethnological Photograph (Abstract) A short history of the Romanian ethnological image brings to the fore Iosif Berman, a famous photograph in the period between the two world wars, followed, after 1949, by other experts of the Institute of Ethnography and Folklore of the Romanian Academy: Bob Eremia, Constantin Popescu, Marin Ivanciu, Emanuil Pârvu. The work of those camera artists has enriched the archive of the Institute with numerous images fixed on different kinds of technical support, from the old glass slide to the digital disks of our days. The author comments on the ethnological photograph as a scientific document, taking into account the relationship researcher/ informant, the technical medium that filters the information transmitted by images and the theoretical concepts of regard and point of regard. |
