Pornind de la o cercetare a naratiunilor ocupationale, studiul surprinde formele pãdurii în mentalul traditional si în discursul oral al unui muncitor la pãdure din satul contemporan. De la loc de existentã la spatiu de povestire, pãdurea ca si cadru natural este dublatã de pãdure ca fenomen cultural.



Based on a reasearch on the narratives about working in the forest, the study details upon the meaning of the forest in the traditional mentality, comparing it to the meaning of the forest in the oral discourse of a lumberman in a contemporary Romanian village. Turning from environment to narrative space, the forest as natural frame is doubled by the forest as cultural phenomenon.
