Scoala Mihai Pop si cercetãrile etnologice Maramuresene contemporane
Genealogia profesorului Mihai Pop dovedeste vechimea familiei lui în tinutul Maramuresului. O incursiune în activitatea sa stiintifică, focalizată asupra cercetărilor etnologice ale regiunii natale, precum si bibliografia receptării critice a operei lui Mihai Pop întregesc imaginea unui om de stiintă în aceeasi măsură devotat locului care l-a format si înteles de cei din jur ca un reprezentant de frunte al Maramuresului. Desi Profesorul a trecut în eternitate, totusi timpul sau, parafrazându-l, are o „durata nelimitată“ si „atâta vreme cât îl cuprinde memoria generatiilor este real, iar dincolo de aceasta trece în legendă“. Asa cum o legendă mereu vie va rămâne Domn’ Profesor Mihai Pop nu numai pentru cei care l-au cunoscut si continuă Şcoala, ci si pentru toti cei care se apleacă cu dragoste si pricepere asupra tezaurului culturii populare. The genealogy of professor Mihai Pop is proof of the deep roots of his family in Maramures county. An exploration of his scientific activity, focused upon his ethnological research of his native region, as well as the bibliography of the critical response to his work complete the image of a scholar devoted to his place of formation and perceived by those around him as a leading representative of Maramures. Although the Professor passed away, his time, as he would say, “lasts indefinitely” and “as long as he remains in the memory of the following generations, his time is real and the rest is legend”. It is true that our professor Mihai Pop will always stay for us as a living legend and this will happen not only for his disciples but also for all those who love and care for the treasure of folk culture. |
