Constantin Eretescu, elev al profesorului Mihai Pop
Constantin Eretescu, student al profesorului Mihai Pop si cercetãtor la Institutul de Etnografie si Folclor în perioada 1964-1980, emigreazã dupã acest an în SUA si se stabileste la Providence (Rhode Island), unde predã antropologie si folclor (1986-1996). Format de profesorul Pop în spiritul cercetãrii folclorului ca si concept deschis, Constantin Eretescu a semnat studii importante, atât în tarã, cât si în strãinãtate, o sintezã remarcabilã a preocupãrilor lui în domeniu constituind-o Folclorul literar al românilor. O privire contemporanã (2004). Constantin Eretescu was a student of professor Mihai Pop and began his career as a researcher with the Institute of Ethnography and Folklore in the period 1964-1980. Then he emigrated to the USA and settled in Providence (Rhode Island), where he taught anthropology and folklore (1986-1996). A disciple of Professor Pop in researching folklore as an open concept, Constantin Eretescu signed important studies in Romania and abroad. One of his remarkable synthesis is the book The Literary Foklore of the Romanians. A Contemporary Perspective (2004). |
