Osmoza dascãl – profesie – folclor. I. Chis Ster (1937 – 2006)
I. Chis Ster (1937 – 2006), titularul catedrei de folclor la Institutul de învãtãmânt superior din Baia Mare, a fost un cercetãtor pasionat al culturii populare maramuresene. Printre altele, cercetãrile lui de teren s-au concretizat în remarcabila monografie zonalã Graiul, etnografia si folclorul zonei Chioar (Baia Mare, 1983) si în Antologia de folclor din judetul Maramures (1980), realizatã în colaborare cu Pamfil Biltiu. Totodatã, I. Chis Ster a fost preocupat de modernizarea metodelor de cercetare, acordând o atentie deosebitã filmului etnologic. Nu în ultimul rând, I. Chis Ster a fost un profesor exemplar pentru studentii si discipolii lui, realizând studii în colaborare cu ei, implicându-se în editarea de publicatii studentesti si în organizarea manifestãrilor stiintifice de profil, precum si în îndrumarea formatiilor folclorice de amatori. I Chis Şter (1937 – 2006), folklore professor at the Superior Education Institute in Baia Mare (a town in the north of Romania), was a passionate researcher of the folk culture in Maramures county. Among the results of his field research we notice the remarkable monograph The Speech, Ethnography and Folklore in Chioar Zone (Baia Mare, 1983) and the Anthology of Folklore from Maramures District (1980; co-author: Pamfil Biltiu). At the same time, I Chis Ster was concerned with the modernization of research methods, giving special attention to the ethnological film. Not in the least, he was an exemplary teacher for his students and disciples, writing studies in collaboration with them, getting involved in the editing of student publications, in the organization of scientific events and in the guiding of amateur folklore performer groups. |
